Candy bars have been exceptionally popular in the western world for more than one-hundred years. Some of the designs we see today have been around for a long time, and that is because they simply cannot be improved upon.   2. The Snickers Bar was created by the Mars family in 1930. While it hasn’t always used the same name in different countries around the world, the recipe is the same today as it was 85 years ago.
  3. While not technically a candy bar, the Cadbury’s Creme Egg is always a favorite. They are only produced for a few months each year, but you can usually get hold of them online if they are not on the shelves in your local store.
  4. 1979 saw the birth of the Twix. The biscuit finger, caramel and chocolate bar was an instant hit, and it is still sold in astonishing quantities all over the world right now.
