Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, co-creators of Disney Channel’s animated series “Phineas & Ferb” have signed new overall deals with Disney Television Animation reports Deadline.
The new deals mean that not only will they run the show for another season, but both are now officially attached to a feature based on the property which is being developed at Disney. In fact the pair are already working on the script.
The deal also includes a new pilot, likely a “Phineas & Ferb” spinoff, and other future projects for the pair who also get a lucrative share of the merchandising rights.
The “Phineas & Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension” TV movie drew 7.6 million viewers in its debut this month, the most-watched cable movie of the year.
