Paramount Pictures is planning a big-screen Americanized adaption of the acclaimed British sitcom “The Inbetweeners” says The Hollywood Reporter.
The show followed a quartet of suburban teens in school together at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive. Show co-creator Iain Morris will pen and direct the feature which will shift the action to an American school.
The film is presently untitled. A film version of the original UK show became the top-grossing comedy in U.K. history last year.
The project marks the third attempt to adapt the property for the American market following a failed 2008 ABC pilot and MTV’s upcoming small screen remake which kicks off in August.
