Alice Eve Up For The “Star Trek” Sequel

Alice Eve (“Entourage,” “She’s Out of My League”) is reportedly in talks to join the cast of J.J. Abrams’ untitled “Star Trek” sequel at Paramount Pictures reports Variety.

Though details of her character weren’t given, the role is said to be an all new one not previously established in Star Trek canon. Eve beat out Teresa Palmer (“I Am Number Four”) and Hayley Atwell (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) for the role.

The article adds that unlike Eve, the villain role that Benicio del Toro is up for will be one familiar to Trek fans. Abrams reportedly has just one more major role left to cast, believed to be a secondary villain and older supporting character counterpart to del Toro’s main bad guy.

Eve will soon be seen in numerous films including the gothic thriller “The Raven” and the sci-fi action tentpole “Men in Black 3”.
