Anna Kendrick is in talks to star in singing romantic comedy “Pitch Perfect” says Reuters.
Based on Mickey Rapkin’s non-fiction book, Kendrick plays a rebellious, goth student endlessly complaining about having to attend a school where her father is a professor.
She soon manages to swap that for the singing stage when she discovers her musical talent and makes waves as one of the best warblers in the school’s a cappella group.
Rebel Wilson is also onboard the film which “30 Rock” writer Kay Cannon has adapted. “Avenue Q” stage director Jason Moore will helm the project which kicks off shooting in New Orleans in the next couple of months.
