“Anonymous” Scribe Pens “Galactica” Reboot

John Orloff (“Anonymous,” “Legend of the Guardians,” “Band of Brothers”) is closing a deal to write Bryan Singer’s “Battlestar Galactica” film for Universal Pictures says Heat Vision.

Singer has been attempting to get his film adaptation of Glen Larson’s original 1978 TV series off the ground for many years but the project recently took on a new urgency after Warners scrapped his plans for a remake of “Excalibur”.

Singer’s currently directing “Jack the Giant Killer” for New Line, no word on when this will take off but one thing that is certain is that the new film will NOT be linked to Syfy’s acclaimed ‘Galactica’ TV series reboot which ran from 2004-2009.

Orloff is also attached to write “Truckers” for DreamWorks Animation.
