“Arbitrage” Director Opts For “Fuel”

“Arbitrage” filmmaker Nicholas Jarecki has setup his next project, the L.A.-set steampunk-esque detective tale “Fuel” reports Variety.

Described as a hi-tech noir, the story is set in a futuristic world of entirely electric vehicles and powered by alternative energy.

The action follows a young man working surveillance who gets in over his head. Jarecki revealed the news during an interview at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival.

Kevin Turen will produce, the budget is said to be just over $ 20 million, and shooting aims to kick off in April or May.
