How big is “The Avengers”? Its global box-office tally is already over the $ 260 million mark, and by end of Sunday (with the US opening weekend helping) it’s expected to be somewhere close to the $ 600 million mark Similarly the film is accounting for a whopping 94% of sales on U.S. online ticking service Fandango.
One thing that patient U.S. viewers will get to see before the rest of us overseas is a reported second post-credits sequence. Now Superhero Hype has confirmed said sequence’s appearance at the end of the credits. There’s even an apparent description in their forums – one which ties in with some of Tony Stark’s dialogue in the film:
“After the battle, the Avengers team are sitting quietly with no dialogue eating shwarma. Stark was not in his suit. Banner wasn’t Hulked out”. A photo of said scene has leaked online and does indeed confirm the scene – the key six characters sitting around a table at a smashed up fast food joint munching down on doner kebabs.
This would come on top of the mid-credits sequence which essentially sets up the villain for the sequel and was seen in the global release of the film.
