Sir Ben Kingsley and his “Hugo” co-star Asa Butterfield could be re-teaming on Gavin Hood’s “Ender’s Game” film adaptation says The Press Association.
Kingsley is said to be in talks to join the big-screen take on Orson Scott Card’s best-selling novel about a young man who develops military strategies through war games in an attempt to prepare for an intergalactic battle.
Kingsley is tipped to play “a legendary war hero presumed to be long dead”, potentially the part of Mazer Rackham. Hailee Steinfeld is also attached as the female lead, while Harrison Ford is being considered to play the role of Colonel Hyrum Graff. Shooting would kick off in February for a March 2013 release.
