Bond 23 Cancels Plans To Film In India

They may have finally scored all the filming permissions they needed, but there’s still been a falling out of some sort as EON Productions has scrapped plans to shoot scenes for the 23rd James Bond film on location in India reports MI6 HQ.

India Take One Productions, who was to partner with EON Productions on the shoot, has confirmed that EON sent official notice to them and various Indian ministries this past Thursday that all plans to film Bond 23 in India had been cancelled.

Reportedly the long delays in securing the permissions they required played a big part in the decision. Those sequences, including a stunt in which a “motorcycle from a bridge would jump on to a train” will now be transposed to South Africa which had been planned as a back-up location for some time now.

Other shooting is also expected in Istanbul, where permissions were confirmed earlier this month, while the main studio leg of the shoot will once again take place at Pinewood Studios in the UK. Shooting kicks off in November.
