Carey Mulligan has scored the female lead in the Coen Brothers’ “Inside Llewyn Davis” at StudioCanal, and is in negotiations for the lead female role in an untitled feature from Spike Jonze at Annapurna Pictures says Variety.
In ‘Davis’, Oscar Isaac plays a musician who tries to make it in the New York music scene in the 1960s. Scott Rudin is producing.
The Charlie Kaufman-penned Jonze project follows world leaders uniting to discuss cataclysmic events. Joaquin Phoenix also stars while Megan Ellison is producing.
Mulligan is currently shooting “The Great Gatsby” and will segue from that into ‘Davis’ in February and then the Jonze project later in the Spring.
