Sworn to Silence
Neve Campbell is set to star in and produce “Sworn to Silence”, a new Lifetime two-hour TV movie which could serve as a back door pilot and is based on the novel by Linda Castillo.

Campbell will play an Amish girl whose childhood was rocked by “brutal murders” in her quiet Amish farming community. Burkholder then returns to the community as the chief of police and investigates a new murder with the signature of the killer that haunted her youth. [Source: The IB Times]

Les Miserables
Sacha Baron Cohen (“Borat,” “Bruno”) has reportedly been cast as the villain Monsieur Thenardier in Tom Hooper’s new film adaptation of the musical “Les Miserables”.

Cohen joins a cast that includes Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter. Shooting kicks off in the New Year. [Source: The Press Association]

Dew Breaker
Danny Glover, Sophie Okonedo and Chiwetel Ejiofor are in negotiations to topline the Arsam International and Transfilm’s $ 5 million drama “Dew Breaker” which will shoot in Guadeloupe and Montreal.

Based on the novel by Edwidge Danticat, the story follows a Haitian immigrant living in Brooklyn with his family, who’s haunted by his past as a member of Haiti’s Tonton Macoute, the paramilitary force that worked for the Duvalier dictatorship in the 60s. [Source: Variety]

Weeping Susannah
Gael Garcia Bernal, Marina Fois and Hanna Laslo are set to headline the €2.8 million Tel Aviv-set dramedy “Weeping Susannah” for Barbecue Films and Thelma Films.

Based on Alona Kimhi’s novel and set in the aftermath of the murder of Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, the story follows a thirty-something woman who lives secluded with her mother until she meets a distant cousin who opens her eyes to the outside world. [Source: Variety]
