Casting: Cumberbatch, Moretz, Bell, Enos

August: Osage County
“Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch is in negotiations to join the cast of “August: Osage County” at The Weinstein Company. Shooting kicks off late September in Oklahoma.

Cumberbatch will act as the sensitive son of Meryl Streep’s sister, Mattie Fay Aiken (Margo Martindale). She castigates and belittles the man, who believes his father is Charlie Aiken (Chris Cooper), but the truth is he’s the product of an affair. [Source: ]

The Wilderness of James
Chloe Moretz is in negotiations to star in Michael Johnson’s Portland-set indie film “The Wilderness Of James” at Super Crispy. Shooting kicks off next month.

The story takes place in Portland and is the coming of age story about a young boy (Kodi Smitt-McPhee) dealing with absence of his father. Moretz is in discussions to play the role of Val, alongside her “Let Me In” co-star Smitt-McPhee. [Source: Deadline]

Devil’s Ink
Zoe Bell (“Oblivion”), RJ Mitte (“Breaking Bad”), Robert LaSardo and Richard Cabral have all joined the indie action drama “The Devil’s Ink”. Kenny Gage and Devon Downs are directing for Cinepix and Slater Brothers Entertainment.

The story follows bikers, gangsters and felons from a tattoo shop in Los Angeles into corners of corruption and depravity. Sandra Vergara, Shayla Beesley and Louis lacoviello also star. [Source: Variety]

Breacher
Mireille Enos (“The Killing”) is the latest to join David Ayer’s “Breacher” (aka. “Ten”). The story chronicles a team of elite DEA agents as they are systematically killed off one by one following their theft of drug cartel money.

Enos will play a one of the agents who is married to Sam Worthington’s fellow team member character. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Olivia Williams, Terrence Howard, Joe Manganiello and Dawn Olivieri also star. Shooting begins in October in Atlanta. [Source: Deadline]
