Shailene Woodley (“The Descendants”) is closing in on a deal to star in Neil Burger’s “Divergent” at Summit/Lionsgate. Based on Veronica Roth’s young adult novel, the story is set in a future society that is divided into factions based on human traits.

Shirley MacLaine is in talks to star opposite Melissa McCarthy in the raunchy road-trip comedy “Tammy” at New Line. McCarthy co-wrote the script.
