Aussie actor Sullivan Stapleton (“Animal Kingdom,” “Strike Back”) has joined the cast of Ruben Fleischer’s “Gangster Squad”.
Sullivan will play a mob enforcer-turned-police informant who is the childhood friend of Ryan Gosling’s character. [Source: Heat Vision]
Jappeloup
French stars Daniel Auteuil and Guillaume Canet will team for the first time on the Olympic equestrian drama “Jappeloup” which Christian Duguay (“Joan of Arc,” “The Art of War”) is set to direct.
Canet will play French jockey Pierre Durand, who nursed a small black horse back from injury to take the gold medal at Seoul in 1988. Auteuil will play his father. [Source: Screen Daily]
Gay Dude
“Parks and Recreation” duo and real-life couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally have joined the comedy “Gay Dude”.
The story centers on Michael (Nicholas Braun) and Matty (Hunter Cope) who make a pact to lose their virginity before prom, only for Matty to come out of the closet.
Offerman will play Michael’s supportive father, Gary Cole and Mullally will play Matty’s parents. [Source: Variety]
