Keira Knightley has come out on top and is in negotiations to star opposite Chris Pine in Kenneth Branagh’s Jack Ryan franchise reboot at Paramount Pictures.

The story centers on ex-Marine and Moscow-based financial analyst Jack Ryan (Pine), who uncovers a plot by his employer to finance a terrorist attack designed to collapse the U.S. economy. Ryan must race against time to save America and his wife (Knightley). [Source: Heat Vision]

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
E. Roger Mitchell (“Battle: Los Angeles,” “S.W.A.T.”) has joined the cast of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” as Chaff.

Chaff is a Tribute from District 11 who previously won the 45th Annual Hunger Games almost thirty years before Katniss won her round. [Source: Deadline]

Last Vegas
Mary Steenburgen has joined the cast of Jon Turteltaub’s comedy “Last Vegas” at CBS Films and Good Universe. The story follows a group of old pals who throw a Las Vegas bachelor party for the only one of them who has remained single all these years.

Steenburgen will play a Sin City lounge singer who gets close to the soon-to-be-married Billy (Michael Douglas). She then becomes the object of both the affections of him and his friend (Robert DeNiro). [Source: Deadline]
