Casting News: Oldman, Walger, Higgins

Motor City
Both Gary Oldman and Amber Heard have exited Albert Hughes’ “Motor City” at Dark Castle. A delayed schedule is the likely reasons for their departures.

Sonya Walger has joined the cast of Paul Weitz’s academia-based comedy”Admission” alongside Tina Fey, Michael Sheen and Paul Rudd.

Walger, the lead on USA Network’s “Common Law”, will play a professor at Princeton where the film is set. [Source: Deadline]

The Devil’s Knot
Kristopher Higgins (“The Secret Life Of The American Teenager”) is in talks to join the cast of Atom Egoyan’s West Memphis 3-themed “Devil’s Knot” alongside Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon.

Higgins will play one of the three teens, Jessie Misskelley, who were convicted in Arkansas of murdering three 8-year-olds in 1993 despite no physical evidence. [Source: Deadline]
