Harold Perrineau will play a detective in David Ayer’s action-thriller “Ten” alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sam Worthington and Olivia Williams.
The story follows an elite DEA task force whose members are slowly picked off one by one after they come under investigation for stealing drug money. Shooting kicks off later this month in Atlanta. [Source: Variety]
Two Night Stand
Hip-hop artist Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi has joined the cast of Max Nichols’ indie rom-com “Two Night Stand” starring Analeigh Tipton and Miles Teller. Mescudi will play the boyfriend of Tipton’s roommate (Jessica Szohr).
The story follows two people who meet online and get together for a one-night stand. The couple get snowed in the next morning and are forced to spend more time together. Shooting has just gotten underway in New York City. [Source: THR]
Nina
Mike Epps will play Richard Pryor in the Nina Simone biopic “Nina” starring Zoe Saldana. The story deals with the singer’s ascent to stardom and her relationship with her Paris-based manager Clifton Henderson (David Oyelowo).
Pryor opened for Simone in the early 1960s and, due to his terrible stage fright, Simone regularly rocked him into calmness. Shooting begins this week in Los Angeles. [Source: THR]
