Casting News: Pullman, Page, Beart

Independence Day 2
Actor Bill Pullman says that a sequel to the mid-90’s alien invasion epic might go ahead with or without Will Smith’s involvement. Speaking about the film recently, it sounds like he’s been filled in on the plans and the fate of his U.S. President character from the first film:

He says: “The Will Smith part of it may be ongoing but I think there’s strategies for both. I like what I have to do in both of them. I’m not in an old age home in a wheelchair being wheeled out for one more moment. It’s a very interesting conception of what happens to Whitmore between then and when it picks back up.” [Source: The Playlist]

Into the Forest
Ellen Page is attached to a film adaptation of Jean Hegland’s post-apocalyptic novel “Into the Forest.”

The story follows two teenage sisters who live alone in a remote part of the Northern California forest, miles away from any neighbor, when society unexpectedly collapse. [Source: Twitter]

My Mistress

Beart plays a French S&M mistress who begins an affair with a vulnerable teenager (Harrison Gilbertson). Rachael Blake co-stars in the project which will shoot on the Gold Coast. [Source: The Australian]
