Casting: Pain, Bigelow, Rosaline, Love, Jamesy

Pain and Gain
Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker,” “The Adjustment Bureau”) is in talks to join Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson as the third lead in Michael Bay’s low-budget crime comedy “Pain and Gain” at Paramount Pictures.

Based on a true story, the film follows a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. Mackie would play a big-hearted bodybuilder who works out with Wahlberg’s character. Shooting begins in early spring. [Source: Variety]

Untitled Bigelow/bin Laden Project
Harold Perrineau has joined the cast of Kathryn Bigelow’s film about Navy SEAL Team 6′s long hunt for Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.

Perrineau’s role is being kept secret, same with the other cast members of the film. [Source: Deadline]

Rosaline
Lily Collins (“Mirror Mirror”), Deborah Ann Woll (“True Blood”) and Dave Franco (“Fright Night”) is considering the titular role in “Rosaline”, a contemporary re-telling of Romeo and Juliet from the perspective of Romeo’s spurned love.

Based on Rebecca Serle’s debut novel “When You Were Mine”, Collins plays Rose whose boyfriend Rob (Franco) is stolen by her cousin and best friend Juliet (Woll) who is rumoured to have suicidal tendencies. [Source: Digital Spy]

The Look of Love
Annette Bening is set to replace Diane Keaton in Arie Posin’s romantic comedy “The Look of Love”.

Bening will play Niki, a widow who falls for a new man who looks identical to her deceased husband (Ed Harris). Robin Williams has also joined the cast and shooting kicks off in the Spring. [Source: Hollywood.com]

Jamesy Boy
Mary-Louise Parker, Ving Rhames and James Woods have joined the cast of Trevor White’s “Jamesy Boy”. Shooting aims to kick off March 4th in Baltimore.

The story follows an imprisoned young man (Spencer Lofranco) who fosters an unlikely friendship with a convicted murderer who ends up becoming his mentor. [Source: Deadline]
