A Long Way Down
Rosamund Pike and Sam Neill have joined the cast of Pascal Chaumeil’s adaptation of Nick Hornby’s “A Long Way Down.” Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, Aaron Paul and Imogen Poots also star.

The film follows four suicidal strangers who meet on New Year’s Eve on the top of a London skyscraper and make a pact to stay alive and help each other. [Source: Variety]

10 Habits of Highly Effective People
Eddie Jemison, Noureen DeWulf and Robert Forster are set to star in Nathan Marshall’s indie comedy-thriller “10 Habits of Highly Effective People” which is currently filming in Los Angeles.

The story centers on ten executives secretly meeting to sell off their company, and being murdered one by one. [Source: Variety]

Last Vegas
“Jerry Ferrara (“Entourage”) has joined the cast of “Last Vegas” for CBS Films and director Jon Turteltaub. Ferrara will plays a young punk who antagonizes the main quartet of characters.

The story centers on a group of retired boomers who are called upon for a Las Vegas bachelor party by their friend who is finally settling down. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter].

1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story
Hannah Marks (“Necessary Roughness”) has been cast opposite David Henrie in indie inspirational project “1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story.” Marks will portray a college lacrosse player who eventually becomes Weissman’s girlfriend.

The true story tale follows a young basketball player who suffered a catastrophic stroke as a freshman at Gettysburg College but, through determination and an indomitable spirit, returned to the court for one remarkable moment in the last game of his senior year. [Source: Variety]
