Two long rumoured bits of casting are now finally official.
Firstly, Sam Claflin (“Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”) has now been officially cast as Finnick Odair in the upcoming “Hunger Games” sequel “Catching Fire” says Heat Vision.
Finnick, from District 4, won the Hunger Games when he was 14 and is generally considered the pin-up boy of the entire ‘Games’ trilogy. He’s also expected to appear in the “Mockingjay” films.
Next up, Keira Knightley is set to play Jack Ryan’s love interest in the Jack Ryan reboot at Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions says Deadline. The casting is said to involve options that would potentially put the actress in three pictures.
After taking time with the film to make sure the project is ready for production and strong enough to be a potential multi-franchise launcher, the studio is now said to be targeting a 4th quarter 2013 release.
