Cooper Gives Third “Hangover” Update

Despite the mixed reviews, “The Hangover Part II” still managed to rack up over $ 580 million worldwide which has understandably lead to talk of a third film.

Previously writer/director Todd Phillips has said he already had a plan for the direction of the third one but has kept vague about it beyond it being very much “an ending”, and location wise he had nowhere in mind at the time.

Now, the star of the series Bradley Cooper appeared on “The Graham Norton Show” over the weekend and added a bit more detail.

“I personally want to do it, I hope we’re going to start shooting in September” says Cooper who confirms that Phillips is working on the script now.

He says that while the second film stuck to the basic structure of the first film but moved the action to Bangkok, the third one “I think it will take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure, it might be different.”

He also re-affirms that this will be a ‘trilogy capper’ as it were, rather than just another straight up sequel. Should they start shooting in September like he says then a May/June 2013 release seems set.
