Earlier this week came word that “Rise of the Guardians” scribe David Lindsay-Abaire was the latest name to have a crack at the script for the “Poltergeist” reboot that’s been in development for many years.
Now, THR has posted up an interview with Lindsay-Abaire which includes the following and unexpected key phrasing:
He’s penning the script for a remake of Poltergeist, to be directed by Sam Raimi, who he reveals was originally supposed to direct the big-screen adaptation of his Pulitzer Prize-winning play Rabbit Hole before a scheduling conflict got in the way.
Could Sam Raimi be stepping into Steven Spiel…I’m sorry I meant Tobe Hopper’s shoes and direct a remake of the 1982 supernatural classic?
