“Speed” and “Twister” helmer Jan De Bont is set to direct “Five Minutes to Live”, a remake of the 1961 Johnny Cash-led film for Nasser Entertainment/Nasser Group North says Deadline.
Raul Inglis (“The Killing Machine,” “Transparency”) penned the script which follows two men pulling off a bank robbery. One holds up the bank, the other takes the manager’s wife hostage and explains that she’ll be killed in five minutes unless money is transfered to an account of their choosing.
Casting will begin shortly while Joseph and Jack Nasser will produce.
