Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Tom Hardy are teaming to produce an untitled animal-trafficking drama at Warner Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
Much like “Traffic”, the film will follow several different story lines about the impact of animal-trafficking at different points along the chain – from the ground war on poachers in the African savanna to the end products in places like the high-end fashion houses of Paris.
A search for a writer has begun. Hardy came up with the idea, inspired by former Special Forces friends of his who went on to become anti-poaching fighters in South Africa.
It’s uncertain at this point if any of the three actors would play roles in the film.
