Disney Re-Releasing Four Films In 3D

With the 3D version of “The Lion King” taking in nearly $ 100 million worldwide so far and is still climbing, Disney is unsurprisingly already making plans for 3D re-releases of more of its classic animated films.

Not only will “The Little Mermaid” and “Beauty and the Beast” be making a return but Pixar’s “Finding Nemo” and “Monsters, Inc.” will also get the treatment.

“Beauty and the Beast in 3D” will begin its limited theatrical run on January 13th 2012 followed by ‘Nemo’ on September 14th 2012. Then comes “Monsters, Inc” on January 18th 2013 followed by “The Little Mermaid” on September 13th 2013.

As neither ‘Nemo’ or ‘Mermaid’ are out on Blu-ray as yet, don’t be too surprised if a release follows a few weeks after their re-releases much like with “The Lion King” (though that information is not confirmed).
