“Doctor Who” Gets 50th Anniversary E-Shorts

The BBC have announced eleven “Doctor Who” ‘eshorts’ in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the science fiction series.

Each short story will focus on one of the eleven incarnations of the Doctor thus far, starting with William Hartnell and ending with current Doctor Matt Smith.

The original story series is being done in collaboration with well-known children’s authors. The identity of the first author will be unveiled on Monday ahead of the first story’s release on January 23rd.

A paperback collection of the stories will be published by Puffin in November 2013.

The second half of the show’s seventh season returns in April.
