Edward Norton has joined the cast of Alejandro Gonzalez Inaritu’s dark comedy “Birdman” at Fox Searchlight and New Regency.
The story follows an actor (Michael Keaton) famous for having once played a popular superhero. He is now attempting to mount a Broadway play based on a short story by Raymond Carver.
Unfortunately, the ex-superhero’s plans to soar again are threatened by his egotistical lead stage actor (Norton). Zach Galifianakis, Emma Stone and Naomi Watts also star.
Inarritu, John Lesher and Robert Graf will produce, and shooting begins mid-April in New York City.
