Extras Wanted To Frack Matt Damon

If you’ve got an interesting face, Matt Damon wants to frack it.

To be precise, he and director Gus Van Sant were seeking paid extras with “great character faces” over the weekend in Philadelphia for “Promised Land”, their upcoming anti-fracking film says The Associated Press.

Fracking (hydraulic fracturing) is a controversial process by which high-pressure injections of fluid are used to blast through rock to release oil and gas trapped inside. It’s a process however that’s generated controversy over the environmental concerns – most notably contamination of ground water.

The casting agents for the film were looking for “great character faces, farmer looks, senior citizens, baseball players, upscale men and women with formal wear, teens and kids”.

The film itself follows a businessman who experiences life-changing events after arriving in a small town. Damon co-wrote the story with John Krasinski (“The Office”) and both star alongside Frances McDormand, Rosemarie DeWitt and Hal Holbrook. Filming gets underway April 23rd.
