Fassbender To Be Aronofsky’s “Noah”

The horses are about to get jealous.

Michael Fassbender is being eyed to play the titular boat-builder in Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah”, an upcoming epic adaptation of the Noah’s Ark myth for Paramount and New Regency reports Variety.

The offer was originally out to Christian Bale who has passed on the role. Fassbender has not yet received an official offer but has reportedly already discussed the part with Aronofsky.

Timing is also opportune as Fassbender has a hole in his schedule due to Rupert Wyatt’s “Londongrad” stalling. Production is now aiming to kick off in the Spring and the studio hopes the faith-based project will have global appeal.

Aronofsky and Ari Handel wrote the original script, with revisions by John Logan. Aronofsky and Scott Franklin are producing.
