“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” director Rupert Wyatt and “X-Men: First Class” actor Michael Fassbender look to be teaming for the true story thriller “Londongrad” for Warner Bros. Pictures says Variety.
Based on the Alan Cowell tome “Sasha’s Story,” the story revolves around former Soviet KGB officer Alexander Litvinenko who was poisoned by polonium-210 in 2006, blaming Russian secret service agents and Vladimir Putin before his death.
Fassbender is circling the Litvinenko role while Wyatt is in early talks to helm from a script by David Scarpa. Johnny Depp and Graham King will produce.
