Word comes today that “I Am Legend” and “Constantine” filmmaker Francis Lawrence is coming back to “The Hunger Games” franchise.
Lawrence has been shooting the upcoming sequel “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” and now the director is reportedly going to take the helm of the two film adaptation of the last book in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy – “Mockingjay”.
The first film’s director Gary Ross declined returning to the series due to the compressed schedule, however Lawrence appears to have no such issues.
Each of the three remaining “The Hunger Games” films will hit cinemas annually in November starting next year.
