Ricky Gervais is in talks to star in the lead role in the upcoming sequel to 2011’s “The Muppets” at Disney Pictures.
Details on Gervais’ character are unknown aside from its leading man status. Ty Burell has already signed on as an Interpol agent.
James Bobin directs and co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce, and shooting aims to begin next month in London.
