The MPAA (via Rope of Silicon) have announced a PG-13 rating for Alfonso Cuarón’s long-delayed and risk-taking sci-fi drama “Gravity”.
The film, which was originally to premiere this month, is slated for release next year but no specific date has yet been locked. Its rating is for “intense perilous sequences, some disturbing images and brief strong language”. There are no stills or promotional material as yet available for the film.
Meanwhile, the new print issue of Empire Magazine features a massive story on “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and hits shelves this week. Inside, Peter Jackson reveals the runtime for the film, sans credits, is around 160 minutes.
Jackson says: “It’s looking like it’s going to be about ten minutes shorter than Fellowship was. So it’s going to be officially our shortest Middle-earth yet. I mean, Fellowship was just under three hours and this is about 2 hours 40 minutes at the moment.”
