Gyllenhaal Now OUT Of “Motor City”

Some stories really can change in just a few hours.

On Wednesday came the news that Jake Gyllenhaal was set to replace Dominic Cooper on Albert Hughes’ thriller “Motor City” at Dark Castle.

Cooper had to bow out of the film due to scheduling issues. Today however Deadline reports that similar issues have forced Gyllenhaal to also skip the project.

Gyllenhaal reportedly wanted to push the start date back, but producers Dark Castle weren’t having it and so now the casting search continues.

Had he signed, Gyllenhaal would’ve played an ex-military man/small-time crook who is framed. Once out of prison, he sets out to punish the guys who put him there.

Amber Heard and Gary Oldman remain attached as the female lead and villain respectively. Shooting still aims to kick off this Spring.
