So you’re bored and need a hobby? Whether you have too much spare time on your hands, or you really need a distraction to escape from the dull pressures of life – there are plenty of things out there to do. But what if you want to do something physical, but that doesn’t require getting yourself a gym membership? Well, no need to worry, there are many different activities that you can take up, that’ll not only keep you fit and on your toes, but will leave you feeling fab.

Mountain Biking

If you like to feel exhilarated and find beauty in the outdoors, then mountain biking was made for you. You will have to build up your endurance because it takes a lot of stamina, but the breaks you can take along the way will all be worth it. Aqua Aerobics

If you enjoy the weightless sensation that you get when in water, why not try aqua aerobics? Similar to the aerobics you do at the gym or as part of a class, the only difference is that you’re in a pool. This is great because the water itself works as resistance against your body, making the workout even more satisfying. Don’t forget about the funky music that will be playing as you create waves. This is a brilliant activity to do with a friend.

Wrestling

Ever been envious of the big meaty wrestlers that make their way onto your screens and give you an amazing performance to watch? Well, you could start training just like one of them. You don’t need any experience to start out, especially if you aren’t trying to become the next best wrestler on tv. All you need is the right equipment to make you feel the part. This will include protective gear, shorts and even a couple of custom wrestling singlets to give you that edge.

Bowling

A lot of people underestimate the art of bowling, thinking it’s an old man’s game, when in fact it takes a lot of skill and technique to get anywhere near to a strike. It’s all about the three P’s: precision, placement and pressure are what will define you as a bowler. So give it a go, you may be surprised at how competitive you’ll get.

Badminton

As long as you have a buddy with you, you can play badminton wherever you wish, like the local park, your garden, or even the beach. Not only is your body benefiting from the sport, but your mind will too because it’s a great stress reliever and just generally a lot of fun. Whether you play it as a competition or just enjoy hitting the birdie (also known as the shuttlecock) to one another, as long as you’re having a good time, that’s the most important thing.

Now you have some new ideas, try a few of them out and see what you enjoy doing the most.
