James McAvoy Talks Upcoming Projects

Out doing publicity for the London-set crime thriller “Welcome to the Punch,” actor James McAvoy recently gave comments about his upcoming projects and cleared up one or two rumors.

Asked about reports that he is in talks to star in the upcoming “The Crow” reboot, the Scotsman says:

“It’s not for real. I don’t think it’s materialized into anything truthful yet… it’s just been rumor mill stuff.”

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is more concrete and in the near future, but his current schedule has prevented him from sitting down to read the film’s script:

“It’s in my inbox. I’ve still got to read it. I’m very excited about it, but I’ve just been doing so much of this and working at night so I’m starting work at 9 and don’t finish until midnight so I’m not being flippant. I honestly can’t wait to read it and find out what I’m doing, but I’ve just got no time right now.”

He also says a “Wanted” sequel could still happen, but not until the material is there:

“They’re doing the right thing. They won’t go ahead with it unless they get a story that feel totally and utterly 100% passionate about. If they don’t have that, then frankly they shouldn’t go ahead. But if they get a story together that they feel that way about then great, yeah.”
