“Bridesmaids” Kristen Wiig has joined the cast of the latest film version of James Thurber’s short story “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” at 20th Century Fox says The Hollywood Reporter.
Ben Stiller stars in and directs the story of a timid magazine photo manager who daydreams of exciting adventures. While looking for a missing negative, he soon ends up on an adventure of his own.
Wiig would play a co-worker and the woman of his fantasies. The project marks Wiig’s first major studio effort since “Bridesmaids” as her last two jobs have been the indie features “Imogene” and “Revenge of the Jolly!”.
Shooting is slated to kick off in April in New York and Iceland.
