Caleb Landry Jones (“X-Men: First Class”) has scored the lead role in Neil Jordan’s vampire drama “Byzantium” reports Variety.
Based on a play by Moira Buffini, Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan play a mother-daughter vampire duo who move to a small British town and reveal their secret.
Jones plays a teenager dying from leukemia and his struggle with mortality emotionally affects Ronan’s character who begins to question her own immortality.
Buffini also penned the screenplay. Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley are producing.
