LaPaglia Joins Tarantino’s “Django”

Former “Without a Trace” star Anthony LaPaglia will be slipping back into his native Australian accent for Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” reports Deadline.

In the film, LaPaglia will play the leader of a group of greedy Australians who encounter slave-turned-bounty hunter Django (Jamie Foxx) as they are escorting a group of slaves recently purchased as fighters. The roles are relatively small but are crucial in the film’s final act.

“It’s wildly ambitious and imaginative, deals with that subject matter in a way it hasn’t been dealt with before. The way the cast has shaped up, it’s exciting to be involved” says LaPaglia. The actor also confirmed that “Inception” and “The Dark Knight Rises” star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who was cast the previous week in an unspecified role at the time, will be playing his mean brother.
