“Lawrence of Arabia” Returns To Cinemas

It has been a long wait for film lovers but, many years after it was revealed to be in the works, David Lean’s classic “Lawrence of Arabia” is finally coming to Blu-ray.

Ahead of the disc release, this multi-million dollar restoration of the film’s 216-minute director’s cut will score both a limited U.S. theatrical re-release and a one time only showing on Turner Classic Movies reports USA Today. The restoration was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival back in May.

The limited U.S. screening will take place on October 4th, followed by a collectible box set Blu-ray on November 13th, and then the one-time airing on TCM on November 16th.

For those who are impatient, you can order a region-free ‘Lawrence’ Blu-ray from Amazon UK where it will ship from September 10th.
