Barry Levinson’s troubled mobster biopic “Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father” looks to have been put on hold.
Showbiz 411 reports that “there’s no money to move forward, and producer Marc Fiore has not been able to raise the money he needs”. As a result, all work has halted and it’s unlikely production could begin in January.
Funding was expected to arrive from overseas but it still hasn’t been done, while pre-production doesn’t seem to have progressed enough to be ready in time for the shoot. In fact several of the principals involved including Levinson, John Travolta and Al Pacino were supposed to be paid this week.
