Luc Besson is set to write and direct the English-language live-action comic adaptation “Valerian” reports Variety.
The 60’s sci-fi graphic novels follow time-traveling agent Valerian and his female sidekick Laureline.
The project is likely not to begin production for at least a year as Besson will shoot the darkly comedic crime thriller “Malavita” in August, and then an Angelina Jolie-led action thriller in early 2013.
