The Weinstein Company is teaming with Martin Scorsese on the U.S. domestic release of Daniel Espinosa’s Swedish crime drama “Easy Money” reports Variety.
Set to be released as a ‘Martin Scorsese Presents…’ feature, a platform rollout for the film kicks off July 11th in New York and July 13th in Los Angeles before a broader opening later in the Summer.
The film involves three interweaving stories involving a Swedish drug-trafficking ring. Released a while back in Europe as “Snabba Cash”, filmmaker Espinosa and star Joel Kinnaman went onto success in the U.S. with the action feature “Safe House” and AMC’s “The Killing” series respectively.
