Uma Thurman, Viola Davis, Lindsay Lohan, Ellen Burstyn and Evan Rachel Wood have joined the all-star ensemble cast of Liz Garbus’ Marilyn Monroe-themed documentary “Fragments” at StudioCanal says Screen Daily.
The cast will bring voice to an array of Marilyn related material gathered from the Arthur Miller estate, Truman Capote estate and poems, letters and diary entries written by and about the icon.
For example Paul Giamatti will read as director George Cukor, F. Murray Abraham will read as the actress’s psychiatrist. Lili Taylor, Zoe Saldana, David Strathairn, Jennifer Ehle, Vanessa Shaw, Michelle Monaghan and Gretchen Mol are also involved.
The film is currently aiming to be ready for August 5th, the 50th anniversary of Monroe’s death.
