MTV is developing a weekly series based on the “Scream” film franchise reports TVLine.
No real details are available right now other than Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley’s DiGa production company are pushing the project and they’re currently seeking a writer for the pilot.
It’s unknown what, if any, involvement Kevin Williamson or Wes Craven will have in the possible series.
The move follows the success MTV has found lately in scripted shows like “Teen Wolf” and “Awkward”.
