Neil Gaiman Returns To “Doctor Who”

The first time he wrote a script for “Doctor Who,” acclaimed fantasy author Neil Gaiman picked up a Hugo award for his work on the episode which was entitled ‘The Doctor’s Wife’. Widely considered the best episode of the sixth season, Gaiman will now attempt to top himself with his next adventure following the man from Gallifrey.

Though his involvement was announced a few months back, Gaiman himself today revealed that the episode will involve the return of the Cybermen. Also onboard are guest stars Warwick Davis, Tamzin Outhwaite and Jason Watkins as a “band of misfits on a mysterious planet”.

“Harry Potter” second unit director Stephen Woolfenden will helm the episode which will go to air with the eight episode second half of season seven in the Spring.
