Two important December tentpole releases scored one-sheets over the weekend. Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” gets a Bilbo-centric poster that tonally fits well with the art for “The Lords of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” back in 2001.
Also today comes the poster for Tom Hopper’s film adaptation of “Les Miserables” which avoids putting its name cast front and center. Instead it’s all about the face of actress Isabelle Allen as the younger version of Cosette, a not unexpected choice as it keeps things in line with the original musical’s iconic poster art.
