Nick Nolte is reportedly circling “Bitterroot”, a Black List script by Michael Gilio which is set up and is being fully financed at Annapurna Pictures reports Variety.
The story follows an aging Montana rancher who is scammed out of his life savings. Unable to locate the swindler, the rancher packs up his guns and rides his horse into Bitterroot to get his money back.
Gore Verbinski and Jonathan Krauss will produce.
